About Me

I decided to start traveling around the USA and abroad in mid-2009. May 1, 2010, I took off from Knoxville, TN to California to begin my journey as a worldwide volunteer. I’ve dreamed of all the places I would go since I was a child.

But, I ended up on a different path when I got pregnant at 20. I raised two kids, a son and a daughter. At the end of 2003, we were all blessed with our Marley, my granddaughter. I’ve been married twice and had planned to travel with my second husband when the kids were raised (we were married when the kids were 11 and 14). It was something we had talked about a lot, but the marriage ended.

When my granddaughter was born I knew I couldn’t just go traveling until she got to know me. It was one of the best decisions of my life. She is a joy and has made my life so much fuller.
